Shell Oil Products US. is currently seeking a Process Engineering Supervisor for their Deer Park, Texas location.Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the career development, coaching and supervision of 4-6 chemical engineers
Provide technical expertise for complex operating problems and provides leadership for opportunities spanning multiple process unit areas
Provides process engineering expertise in the justification, development, and implementation of projects to improve safety and environmental performance, reliability, and profitability within the Deer Park Site (Refining and Chemical Plants)


Key Accountabilities

Administrative responsibility for 4-6 chemical engineers
Coach/Mentor in a manner appropriate with the experience level of the area Process Engineers
Provide advanced technical support depending on experience and site needs
Engage in troubleshooting, problem solving, and opportunity identification for the assigned areas and across multiple refinery units, chemical plants or systems
Assist others with development of process improvements and growth opportunities
Provide senior technical leadership to site development plan and operations support activities as needed
Develop process design basis for projects
Perform economic evaluation of projects and update as developments warrant
Ensure appropriate environmental review and permitting of projects
Provide supplemental production support as necessary Requirements:
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Chemical Engineering degree with 10-15 years experience applicable experience
Previous process design, P&ID development, hydraulics, equipment and instrument specifications, process simulations and process hazard analysis
Previous production support, startup / shutdown, commissioning and procedure development experience. Knowledge of project work processes
Knowledge of refinery and or chemical plant technologies and unit integration
